The Rotating 80 story Skyscraper is currently under construction in Dubai where it is expected to be completed by 2010. Another, at 70 stories, has approval to be constructed in Moscow. The Dubai project is a residental project and has a waiting list of over 1,100 potential buyers for the 200 units. The Moscow project will be a mixed use project with nearly 1.2 million square feet of office, retail and apartments.
These rotating skyscrapers are the ultimate in green since they are totally energy self sufficient with horizontal wind turbines located between each floor and solar panels on the roof. The movement is beautiful. Each floor rotates independently at different speeds and even different directions. Amazingly enough, it is a pre-fabricated building constructed in a factory and delivered and installed in separate units on the site.
